ARUNA SAYEERAM - VOCALIST...............(b.1952)
Aruna is a B.A. (Hons), B.Ed and M.A.(Music) and had her training in music under T.Brinda. Has a rich and sonorous voice with fidelity to sruti and laya. A soft and pleasant mannered artiste, her music is noted for its melody and purity. She has obtained a number of medals and awards in competitions and the 'Best Musician' awards from the Krishna Gana Sabha, Madras and the Music Academy, Madras.

She is an 'A' Grade artiste of the All India Radio and has been giving a large number of concerts. The Sursingar Samsad, Bombay has conferred the title of 'Sur Mani' on her.



PAPANASAM ASHOK RAMANI - VOCALIST...............(b.September 15, 1962)
Ashok Ramani is the grandson of the eminent Tamil composer, Papanasam Sivanhe was born in Chenai to R.Ramani & Dr.Rukmini Ramani, musician and pedagogue. He has completed his B.E.,(Mech). Papanasam Sivan's daughter Dr.Rukmini Ramani is in the Government Music College, Chennai. Ashok Ramani learnt music from his mother who has imbibed the high musical lineage, reputation and skills of the family. His debut performance was at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai in 1984. He has been performing at various centres in India. In conformity with the views of experts that musicians and percussionists should have performing knowledge of each other's art, Ashok Ramani is a qualified mridangist having learnt the art from Kumbakonam Rajappa Ayyar. Enjoys a good voice and robust mastery in rendition. A popular artiste.
