SAMPOORNAJATI
: a raaga that has all the seven notes.
SANCHAARA
: exploration of the terrain of a raaga (with a particular gait, geometry,
progression).
SANGEETA
UPAASANA : devoted practice of music
SHISHYA
: disciple.
SHRUTI
: the microtonal intervals between notes.
SWARA
: is described as a note.
SWARA BHEDA
: a technique of modal shift of the tonic note.
SWARA PRASTHAARA
: an exercise of phrases of notes in various rhythms and layas.
