Kannamangai (Krishna Mangala Kshetram)
The temple is located 25 miles from
Kumbakonam & 15 miles from Thiruchaerai.
The Moolavar is Bakthavatsala Perumal,
Batharaavi Perumal seen in standing posture facing east. The speciality
in the temple is the daily pooja to a bees nest like structure in the Thaayaar's
sannadhi. It is also known as Lakshmivanam for Goddess Lakshmi is
said to have done tapas here. Lord Siva in four forms guards the
Kshetram from four sides.
