which is near Maayavaram.
The Moolavar is Arulmaakadal, Salasayana
Perumal (a small vigraham) seen in bujanga sayanam posture facing south.
The Utsavar murtis are Krubaa Samudra Perumal, Dayaanayagi. Vyaagrapaadar
had prayed to Lord Siva & had got the legs, hands & eyes of a tiger.
He had prayed to Lord Vishnu at this sthalam & attained moksham.
Hence the name Sirupuliyur. (in Tamil Puli-Tiger; Siru-small)
