The awardees for 2019, 2020 and 2021 for Performing Arts have been
selected by the General Council of Sangeet Natak Akademi in its meeting
held on 8 November 2022 at The Ashok, New Delhi. The honour of Akademi
Fellow carries a purse money of Rs.3,00,000 (Rupees three lakh) while
the Akademi Award carries a purse money of Rs 1,00,000 (Rupees one
lakh), besides a Tamrapatra and Angavastram. The Sangeet Natak Akademi
Awards will be conferred by the President of India in a special
investiture ceremony. The dance awardees are:

Sangeet Natak Akademi in the meeting of its General Council held from
6-8 November 2022 at New Delhi selected 102 artistes of India who have
made a mark as young talents in their respective fields of the
performing arts for the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar by clearing
the backlog for the years 2019, 2020 & 2021. The Yuva Puraskar
carries a purse money of Rs. 25,000 and will be presented at a special
ceremony by the Chairman, Sangeet Natak Akademi. Below are the awardees

The General Council of Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, at its meeting
held from 6-8 November 2022 at New Delhi unanimously selected 75
artistes, who are above the age of 75 years and haven’t been accorded
any national honour in their career so far, from the field of the
Performing Arts of India for the one-time SANGEET NATAK AKADEMI AMRIT
AWARD under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) commemorating 75 years of
India’s independence. The SNA Amrit Award carries a purse money of Rs.
1,00,000 (Rupees one lakh), besides a Tamrapatra and Angavastram. The
dance awardees are:

Concert in the Dark by Anil Srinivasan (5th edition)
 
Anil Srinivasan performes blindfolded in a darkened theatre ambiance to
raise awareness and funds for Gnanadarshan, a home for visually disabled
women of all ages, in Chennai and has raised over Rs 28 lakhs for the
cause, which has enabled the home to re-equip themselves and also set up
a fully functional career resource center for the women.
This year's edition with the generosity of Swaroop Reddy of SPI cinemas,
who has donated the Seasons screen space at Satyam Cinema complex for
this concert on Dec 11 (Sunday) morning from 10 to 1130 AM.
An hour of music, in the dark, opening the Music
Season.

Tamil Heritage Trust’s “Pechu Kacheri: Kalingam”
(in Tamil). Pechu Kacheri (a concert of talks) is a seminar comprising a
series of informative lectures on a selected theme or subject.
THT’s Pechu Kacheri: Kalingam aims to introduce the audience to the rich
and varied heritage of Odisha by showcasing a few of its temples,
inscriptions and monuments.
On-line event from 9.00 am to 1.30 pm on Saturday, 8th and Sunday, 9th January, 2022.
Pechu Kacheri: Kalingam discussion on the
significance of the inscriptions of the kings Ashoka and Kharavela, the
evolution of Odisha’s unique temple architecture, its reflection in the
